Gundula Jacobs is a realist painter, born in Germany in 1959.
She emigrated to San Francisco, USA, in 1978, where she began studying
drawing and painting in oils at age 27.
In 1990 she moved to France and permanently established herself in
Anjou, a beautiful region of the Loire Valley, in the « département » Maine et Loire.
Her classical, however contemporary stillives as well as typically French
landscape paintings are inspired by seasonal changes and the beauty of the rural
Loire environment.
